I’m Looking For Zombie TV Anime Announced for 2026

#I'm Looking For Zombie (Japanese: #Zombie Sagashitemasu) is officially receiving a TV anime adaptation, which is scheduled to premiere in 2026. The announcement was accompanied by a special commemorative illustration from the manga's author^[1], Katsuwo.

This anime adapts the story from the manga of the same name, which fits into the genre known as a "zombie x youth comedy". KADOKAWA published the original manga series in its Comic Dengeki DaiohG magazine. The series ran from June 2022 and concluded in January 2024. The entire completed story has been collected into three volumes.

Story: Thirteen years after Akaihi, ninety percent of humanity was infected with and died from a mysterious infection, and the survivors left the city and lived in isolated villages. Aki, a new generation who does not remember the world before the destruction, escapes from the village with Haru and Natsuki in order to find their father who had left the village. The outside world full of zombies is still vast and beautiful! What are the boys and girls aiming for in a life-or-death situation?^[2]
