GATE 2 Tides of Conflict New Visual

GATE 2: Tides of Conflict (Japanese: GATE 2: Jieitai Kano Umi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri, lit. "GATE 2: The Self-Defense Force, in That Land, Thus Fought") revealed a new teaser visual on 19th September, 2025. The new illustration showcases the sequel's protagonists, Tokushima Hajime of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force and Princess Primera Luna Avion. The anime will adapt the sequel light novels by Yanai Takumi, shifting the story's focus to maritime conflict and exploration.

The series is being produced to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the original anime adaptation. The production staff includes:

Story: Years after the Gate to another world opened in Tokyo, Japan manages the passage under strict control. While the JSDF explores the land, the JMSDF sails its seas. Petty Officer Tokushima Hajime finds himself aboard the submarine Kitashio on a mission to rescue an abducted journalist. Along the way, his crew joins forces with Princess Primera, the pirate heir Shura no Arch, and the Ship Guardian, Odette Ze Nebula. Together, they must navigate raging wars, pirate fleets, and monstrous sea creatures to complete their mission.^[1]
